"Every time you look at your photographs you'll remember just how fantastic you felt on your wedding day."
Every time you look at your photographs they will remind you just how fantastic you felt on your wedding day. That's what we're thinking every time we look through the view finder.
But there's more to photography than just taking photographs. Our relationships with you, your families and your friends are also an important part of our day.
The pre-wedding "engagement shoot" is a great time to start building that relationship. It's a chance for us all to get to know each other and for you to be more relaxed in front of the camera. That makes such a difference when it comes to your wedding day.
After the wedding our time is spent assessing, adjusting and editing your images to make sure that the photographs you receive are truly special. You can go to our Galleries to see some of our wedding and engagement photos.
We'll then work with you to create your own personal wedding album - an album that will be a treasure for you and your family for years to come.
We are Tim and Linda Durham and we work together with our daughter Sarah in our family business Pinner Wedding Photography.
When we photograph your wedding it's not just about the story of your day. It's also about the roller coaster of feelings and emotions shared by everyone at the wedding. That's the time to be unobtrusive and blend in with the wedding guests in order to capture the best photographs.
That's not the whole story of course. There are times when we have to direct, organise and choreograph the proceedings to make sure that we can take the best photographs for you. The biggest challenge is usually the "everyone" group shot.
After the hustle and bustle of the formal group shots we look forward to a quiet, private time with the bride and groom to take those beautiful photographs around the wedding venue.
Not every wedding day story is the same but they usually contain the same 'chapters' that you'll want your photographers to cover. So what does a typical wedding day look like?
While the groom is relaxing over a late breakfast the bride and bridesmaids are busy with hair and make-up. I am usually there around 9:30 for some general, relaxed shots of the preparations with the bride with her bridesmaids. Then it's pictures with mum, with dad and leaving for the ceremony.
Tim will catch up with the groom and groomsmen about an hour before the ceremony. He will have time for a mixture of formal and informal shots with the groomsmen as well as pictures with the groom and his dad. Tim will also photograph the wedding rings and the wedding venue.
Tim is then ready for the arrival of the bride's party for the ceremony. When everyone is ready for the bride to make her entrance, Tim and I will both be there for the procession, the service, the exchange of rings, the first kiss and the signing of the register. After the wedding ceremony there's the recessional, the confetti and the group shots.
At this point there may be a break while everyone makes their way to the venue for the wedding reception.
Drinks and canapes go hand-in-hand with more group shots and then its time for me and Tim to steel away with the bride and groom for some private, romantic couple shots.
We are then back at the venue to photograph the bride and groom making their entrance at the wedding breakfast. Once everyone is seated Tim and I will take our leave, returning later for the speeches and 'cutting the cake'.
The last 'main event' for us is the first dance but before then, during the lull in the proceedings, we usually have the opportunity to take some reportage-style photos of everyone relaxing and enjoying themselves.
We'll stay for while after the first dance to take some photographs of the evening reception including, where possible, photographs of the people who were not there for the wedding. Then, when we feel we have covered everything we can, we'll say our goodbyes.
One of the best days of your lives is over and your heads are full of fragmented memories. When you see your wedding photos you can re-live the day again and again. You'll see things you don't remember and you can share your memories with friends and families for years to come. Your photographs are priceless.
