Your Wedding Photographers
Almost everyone books a photographer for their wedding. For most couples this will be the first time they have been faced with the problem of finding the right photographer for them.
The big question is "what are the key things that sets photographers apart"? Naturally you will want someone that takes great pictures and these days it's easy to go on-line and see examples of each photographer’s work (including ours). Cost is also a factor and we make that easy for you by publishing our Package and Price details in the Weddings section of the web site. For some couples that might be all they need to make their choice. For others there may be a feeling that there is more to it than that, but they're not sure exactly what that is.
We have always gone for a natural look but we do like to mix the formal, must-have shots with some more light-hearted ones. However, although the photographs on the wedding day are the most important thing for us that's not the whole story.
We like to start with a face-to-face meeting before you make you final decision on who you want for your wedding photographers. We listen to your ideas and plans, and we will tell you about what we actually do, including what happens on the wedding day as well as what goes into our contract.
We do encourage you to have an engagement shoot before the wedding. The informality of the engagement shoot is a perfect opportunity for you to get used to the way we work, and to get used to being photographed again and again. The experience really helps you to feel more comfortable when it comes to being photographed on the wedding day.
We like to visit new venues before the wedding day. It's good if we can do that with you but, if not, we are happy to go look for the best places for the photographs on our own. We'll arrange the visit with the venue and we usually meet their wedding organiser at the same time.
We will also ask you to provide us with a list of "must have" groups shots before the wedding so that we can be prepared in advance. We'll send you a list of suggestions and you can send us back your own version.
We'll also go through the time-table with you so that we know when and where we need to be throughout the day. That's also a good time to ensure that there is enough time in the plan for us to take all the photographs that you want.
The morning of the wedding day is usually quite informal, with "getting ready" shots with the bridal party and casual shots with the groom's party. We'll have time to chat and answer any last minute questions that you might have like "when should we cut the cake?" or "who goes first down the aisle?" Then, before you know it, the bride and bridesmaids are ready and the groom is in his place, waiting with your guests for the bride to arrive. We'll be there too, but you probably won't notice.
So, if you're looking for photographers who genuinely care about making your day special, give us a call.
